Notice Regarding Coverage for Travel to Japan
As of March 11th, 2011, the Japan tsunami and nuclear situation is a known/foreseeable event for travel insurance purposes. As a result, policyholders intending to travel to Japan after this date may not be eligible for Out-of-Country emergency medical coverage within Japan.
Please check your policy provisions prior to travel to ensure you understand the exclusions within your coverage.
If you hold a travel insurance policy administered by Allianz Global Assistance and intend to travel to Japan, please contact your plan administrator or Allianz Global Assistance directly to determine whether or not your coverage is eligible for travel to this destination.
