Allianz Global Assistance Recognized for Online Claims Tool
Jackie Kleinknecht, Director of Claims and Dianne Jackson, Director of Sales attended the award ceremony on behalf of Allianz Global Assistance to accept a plaque which recognized the company’s selection as one of three finalists in the Insurance Supplier category.
“Offering the ability to submit claims online has simplified and streamlined what can otherwise be an intimidating process for our customers. As a result, we’ve received very positive customer feedback on this service since launching the site in the summer of last year. It’s an honour to now be selected as a finalist for Insurance Canada’s technology awards, and to be recognized for our efforts not only by our customers but by our peers in the insurance industry as well,” says Kleinknecht.
According to Insurance-Canada.ca principal Doug Grant, the awards celebrate organizations that successfully realize the benefits of technology in improving service, reducing costs, and increasing productivity for insurance professionals. "Insurance is a transaction and data-intensive business that can be positively impacted by the intelligent application of technology," says Grant."We want to acknowledge organizations that invest in solutions for the benefit of their customers, employees, and shareholders."
Allianz Global Assistance’s customer facing Online Claims Submission portal is integrated with the back office claims management system so that the claim is ready to be adjudicated by Claims staff as soon as it has been submitted online by the customer.
The overall customer experience is improved by combining claims notification and submission into a single step, thereby eliminating the need to call in. It also removes the extensive extra time in the offline claims filing process that is typically required for mailing, including sending the claim form to the customer, having the customer mail the form back, sending follow up letters advising of missing documentation, and so on.
The Allianz Global Assistance Online Claims Portal is available for claims filed for non-medical benefits including Trip Cancellation, Interruption and Delay, Flight Delay, Baggage Loss and Delay and Collision Damage Waiver. The winner of the Insurance Supplier category was RMS, for iClarify, a validation and valuation tool that provides brokers and insurers with residential property intelligence.
