Prior to joining Allianz Global Assistance as CEO in November 2018, Chris held several leadership roles with increasing responsibility at The Co-operators General Insurance Company, Economical Insurance, and Guy Carpenter Canada. Chris was also the executive accountable for the overall delivery of Sonnet Insurance. His various roles have included direct accountability for actuarial functions, product development, digital delivery, reinsurance, and client relationship management. 

Chris is a qualified actuary and an educator who strongly believes in the sharing of knowledge, having been a lecturer at the University of Waterloo teaching property and casualty loss reserving for several years. In his free time, Chris invests considerable energy into cycling and triathlon training, but has recently taken up hot yoga in an attempt to be more ‘balanced’. Chris also enjoys travelling, having most recently spent time in Hawaii.
 

As Vice President, Product & Pricing Lisa is responsible for product, pricing and underwriting teams and strategy, ensuring that Allianz Global Assistance delivers competitive solutions to the market that delight our customers and partners. Lisa has worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years in group benefits, group retirement as well as individual retail wealth, filling various leadership roles including product development, marketing, client management, operations, and strategy. Prior to her move to insurance, Lisa worked in the defense manufacturing industry, supporting a global executive team creating business strategies, organizational redesign and leading business process improvement. 

Lisa holds undergraduate degrees in Science and Physical Education from Queen’s University, an MSc in Biomechanics from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. Lisa and her family are avid skiers and spend as much time as possible in the winter on the slopes, skiing from their home club in Beaver Valley. They are now getting the opportunity to travel across Canada as their daughter competes in snowboard cross racing, representing Ontario for her age group.   

Patrick joined Allianz Global Assistance in June 2020 as Chief Financial Officer. In his role, Patrick is responsible for corporate governance and driving profitability through his Finance, Risk, Actuarial, Legal and Compliance teams. Patrick has been in the insurance industry for 20+ years, most recently as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer at Echelon Insurance where he focused on Public Company Financial Reporting, Mergers & Acquisitions, Risk and Internal Controls.

Patrick is a CPA and graduated from University of Toronto and serves as Director on the Canadian Insurance Accountants Association Board of Directors. In his spare time he spends time with his wife and four kids, enjoying basketball and golf in his downtime.

 

Lucy joined Allianz Global Assistance in August 2020 as Chief Sales Officer and is responsible for leading the organization’s efforts to strengthen and evolve its long-standing partnerships across its key distribution channels, while securing new business relationships for continued, sustainable growth.

Lucy has a wealth of insurance industry experience in the areas of strategic planning, business development and financial management. Over her 25-year career, Lucy has held senior leadership positions at large property & casualty insurers, including responsibility for developing and executing national underwriting and distribution strategies across various business segments that enhance the customer experience.

Lucy is an alum of Wilfrid Laurier University. Having spent a lot of her career on the road, Lucy enjoys visiting colleagues and clients across the country. For personal travel, Lucy, along with her husband and daughter, enjoy visiting amusement and water parks, particularly in Florida.

 

Kyle joined Allianz Global Assistance in March 2019 as Chief Operating Officer. In his role, Kyle is responsible for driving an exceptional customer and partner experience through his Consumer Sales, Customer Services, Emergency Assistance and Claims Administration teams. Kyle joined Allianz after 20+ years of customer-centric solution development and transformation experience within the financial service industry, notably at Bank of Montreal (BMO). He held several leadership roles with increasing responsibility at BMO, including Head of PMO and Business Transformation, Head of Canadian Collections, and ran the operations of Diner’s Club following the acquisition of that portfolio by BMO.

Kyle, along with his wife Mandy, are loving parents to four children. While the kids keep Kyle and Mandy busy at pools and hockey arenas, they find time to travel as much as they can (with kids and without), keep healthy together and where time permits, get out and golf. 
 

Teresa is our people and change expert. With over 15 years of management experience, and over 20 years in the industry, coupled with her ongoing professional development, she has led a proactive human resources strategy that encompasses over 800 staff members across Canada. Under her guidance, Allianz Global Assistance's Human Resources department recruits, trains and improves the well-being of staff through the implementation of people-friendly policies.

Teresa enjoys travelling to Europe, having spent quality time in Italy, France, Spain, and Czech Republic. Teresa is a graduate of McMaster University and Sheridan College. She is a certified Change Agent and HR Leader through HRPA and enjoys running, yoga, hiking, and spending time with her family. 
 

Lawrence was appointed Chief Information Officer of Allianz Global Assistance in October 2018. Lawrence began his career in IT at CNA Canada in 2003, supporting the marine and property and casualty lines of business. His eight years with CNA included a period with CNA Europe, where he assisted in centralizing IT operations, and a multi-year global financial systems migration after returning to Canada. In 2010, Lawrence joined Munich Re in Atlanta at the US life reinsurance subsidiary, where he created regional shared services, stabilized the IT landscape and migrated infrastructure to the regional data centre. He eventually transferred back to Toronto, where he built a support organization that serviced Munich Re entities across the Americas.    

Lawrence is an alum of University of Toronto. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the theatre, opera, jazz clubs and the symphony.
